In present era of globalization, when the whole world has become a global village there is increasing demand for Indian Engineering Graduates nationally and internationally. This has given rise to aspirations among the Indian youth to go for graduation in Engineering nation wide. Gujarat is no exception in this matter. In order to fulfill the facilities for graduation in Engineering to its youth in Gujarat Ahmedabad Institute of Technology was established in June 2004 with four  branches of Engineering viz Electronics & Communication Engg, Electrical Engg., Computer Engg and Mechanical Engg. wherein branch of Information Technology  and Post Graduate programme in management were introduced later on. Ever since then it is continuously progressing on the path of imparting cost effective quality Technical Education. It is situated in the vicinity of Ahmedabad wherefrom large number of aspirant students desirous of graduating  in Engineering opt for studying at  Ahmedabad Institute of Technology
