CULTURE |
| |
Students are encouraged to practice the mantra of ‘constrained optimisation- to get more and more from less and less’. Learning here is a ‘two way traffic’. We follow an ‘open door policy’ and there is constant student- faculty interaction. The school provides a ‘live’ context to the students for gaining ‘hands-on’ experience in administration. In a sense, this makes students apprentices in an ongoing live workshop. A ‘do it yourself’ approach is inculcated and ‘Self-Sufficiency’ is encouraged.
The students perform the following functions in the Institute:
- Public Relations/ Public Image
- Annual Cultural Events
- Final Placements
- Social Projects
- Computer Centre management
- Library maintenance
- Summer Placements
- Sports
- Web Site design and management
- Seminar and Management
- A Vibrant Students’ Council

The Institute thus aspires to make leaders of ordinary students. Students are taught to have an open mind, be inquisitive and receptive to new ideas. All projects and presentations are carried out in teams, which enables people from different backgrounds to work together and learn from each other. |
